About the Owner

Ever since I was a wee lad, I have always had a passion for the outdoors and nature. Whether building tree houses, shooting .22s, watching birds from my grandparents kitchen window, catching crawdads and salamanders dahn in the crick, if it involved being outside, I was there.

Amongst all the outdoor adventures I had as a kid, I am not sure any impacted me as much as the first time I went fishing with my uncle Richie at a neighbors farm pond in Butler. It was not just catching what seemed like a million bluegill, it was losing the big bass that my uncle had hooked and given me the chance to reel in. From that day forward, I had a lifelong passion I would pursue; catching big bass. From Presque Isle Bay in Erie, down to 4-mile Run in Ligonier, if there was water, I would be fishing!

The passion turned obsession became so severe, that I ended up pursuing an education in ichthyology. After graduating from Penn State University with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences (and doing some collegiate FLW bass fishing, of course) I found myself working for the University in their Department of Ecosystem Sciences and Management before moving on to a job at Black Lagoon Pond Management in NJ.

After many years, Black Lagoon combined with a few other companies, and the small “mom and pop” shop feel I was used to and loved began to dwindle. Coming from a family of small business owners, it was always impressed upon me how important relationships were with people, and I was losing the opportunity to establish these connections.

It was at this point I decided that my future would not be spent at this company in New Jersey, but rather should be spent in the area I grew up, which nurtured my passion for the outdoors. So in early 2026 the decision was made to relocate back to Pennsylvania and found Allegheny Pond & Lake Management LLC. Working out of Grove City, I could not be happier or more excited for the opportunity to work on some of the same ponds and lakes I grew up on!

Oh, and lets go Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins!
